Does it actually stay cool, or does it warm up after a few minutes like other mats?
Cool-to-touch fabric doesn't rely on stored cold the way an ice pack does, so it doesn't "run out" the same way. For best results, use it in a shaded or air-conditioned room.
Is it safe if my dog scratches or chews at their bedding?
Because there's no gel or liquid inside, there's nothing to leak if your dog scratches at it. As with any pet bedding, we don't recommend leaving heavy chewers unsupervised with it.
Will this work for my thick-coated or large dog?
Yes — it's especially helpful for double-coated breeds like Huskies, Golden Retrievers, and Corgis that overheat more easily. Size up if you're between sizes.
How do I clean it?
Wipe down for quick cleanups, or machine wash on a gentle cycle and air dry. Avoid high heat when drying to protect the cooling layer.
